Community Standards 

WE ARE COMMITTED TO DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION AS WE CREATE A WORLD OF EQUITABLE, SUSTAINABLE PEACE. THESE STANDARDS AND PRACTICES ALLOW US TO CREATE SAFE SPACES FOR ALL MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY. 

In this community we believe that LIFE matters and that all lives are precious, once-in-a-lifetime-cosmic-events. Because of this, we believe that every person must have an equal, empowered voice and a “seat” at the table. We believe that Black lives, Indigenous lives, People of Color's (POC) lives, Queer lives, Trans lives and voices matter, and that all marginalized identities and voices must be protected and heard. In this community we model to the world that justice, inclusion, equity and diversity are an essential part of community and make us more beautiful, sustainable and abundant.

We believe that words have the power to heal, to lift us up and to change the world. In this community we will not tolerate hatred, discriminatory and divisive language, postings or behavior. We strive to listen to each other respectfully with our Hearts and embrace the unique pieces of the Human story that we each bring. Violators will be immediately removed from our community.

We inspire and lift each other up. It is part of our community commitment that we see the beauty in each other and consciously reflect it back to all community members. We interact with each other in a way that inspires us to be more of who we are – individually and together. 

This community is a safe space. We honor each other's stories and words. We listen carefully and with compassion to each other. We reach out and support each other when we are in need. If we see a community member struggling, we commit to contacting an administrator to ensure that all members of our community get the support they need.

We are open-minded and willing to learn from each other. We know that we each have a unique role in this community, and we occupy no less than our unique place and no more than our right space in this community.

We respect the privacy and confidentiality of our community members. We are a close-knit community and often share very personal things with each other. We honor the confidentiality of what is shared in our community, and will not share or make public the stories, identities, situations or words of others without explicit permission.

We are essential parts of a whole – each community member makes us who and what we are today.
